Title : Numerical Modelling of Seismic Response
Abstract
The aim of this talk is to analyze effective numerical methods on capturing synthetically seismic responses passing through various geophysical environments. To achive this, an effective boundary element method is considered. The modelling results of the boundary element method are compared with the literature results produced by finite difference techniques. It has been analyzed that if the interfaces are determined with the help of the signals reflected. The importance of the results has been discussed both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Murat Sarı was born in Adana, Turkey, in 1969. He received the B.Sc. degree from the Ondokuzmayıs University, in 1991, and the M.Phil. (transferred) and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from University of South Wales, UK, in 1997 and 2000, respectively.
In 1993, he joined the Department of Mathematics, Pamukkale University, as a Research Assistant. In the period 2002-2012, he was with the Department of Mathematics, Denizli, where he was an Assistant Professor, became an Associate Professor in 2012.
