Abstract

In the last few years, we have witnessed the potential of Internet of Things to deliver exciting services across several sectors, from social media, business, intelligent transportation and smart cities to the industries. IoT seamlessly interconnects heterogeneous devices with diverse functionalities in the human-centric and machine-centric networks to meet the evolving requirements of the earlier mentioned sectors. The IoT data which will be produced from billions of interactions between devices and people are going to be not only massive, but also complex and it will suffer from many security and privacy problems, especially regarding the authentication and privacy among devices. To resolve these security issues, researchers in the field of computer security have developed many security protocols applied in the context of the IoT. The aim of this talk is to provide a comprehensive and systematic review of recent studies on published security and privacy protocols for the IoT.
